RPGMail Enterprise edition now available

I have been offering open source software on www.MowYourLawn.com for over 8 years now.  I love open source software (oss) and have benefited from it greatly in many ways.  The unfortunate part about oss is that it is hard to find time to dedicate to making it better on a regular basis.  I find myself needing to spend time on “paying gigs” so I can put food on the table instead of investing in getting solid new tools into the hands of IBM i developers.My approach has somewhat changed with a new idea I have been compelled to pursue from the deepest part of my heart which is www.SoftwareSavesLives.com.  The concept of SoftwareSavesLives is that software is sold for a reasonable cost and a significant portion of it is donated to those that are in way more need than we are in America (talking about people that die from polluted water – and here I complain about my water having a “funny taste of chlorine” ).  By “significant” I am talking about 50% of each sale.  You can learn more about the history of SoftwareSavesLives by heading to this page: http://www.softwaresaveslives.com/why.

What are people’s thoughts on my approach?  Am I screwing over the oss world or is this a fair step forward?  Note that the traditional RPGMail is still completely free and open source, so I am not taking anything away from the community.
